The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Giza stands as a timeless masterpiece, the tallest structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Commissioned by Pharaoh Khufu, who reigned from c. 2589 to 2566 BC, construction began around 2580 BC and was completed circa 2560 BC to serve as his eternal resting place. Built with astonishing precision, the pyramid was formed from more than 2.3 million limestone blocks and crafted by an estimated 400,000 skilled laborers, embodying the brilliance and ambition of ancient Egyptian civilization.

The Magnificent Sphinx

This timeless hero was established at the Giza Plateau to guard the ancient masterpieces at the complex. The Great Sphinx was one of the most distinctive relics of the ancient pharaohs due to its strange design, since it has a lion's body and Pharaoh Khafre's (2558–2532 BC) head. This abnormal structure was carved out of colossal limestone, and it has a length of 73 meters (240 ft), its height of 20 meters (66 ft), and a width of 19 meters (62 ft).

The Heavenly Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is one of the best-preserved structures from the Old Kingdom, used for the purification and mummification rituals of royal burials in Ancient Egypt. It was erected in the Old Kingdom in 2686 BC, and it acted as a precious source of information about how the mummification processes, a.k.a the opening of the mouth ritual, were performed and the nature of the mortuary rituals.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum will reveal the blessed innovation of this golden civilization that spanned over 5000 years. Memphis City

Memphis City which is situated at the entrance of the Nile Valley had been discovered by King Menes Narmer in 2925 BC. The High Dam, commissioned by President Gamal Abdel Nasser in the 1960s and completed in 1970, stands as one of Egypt’s most significant national projects. Built to control the Nile’s annual floods, it safeguarded countless ancient monuments and transformed into a vital source of hydroelectric power, fueling Egypt’s modern development.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk is one of the symbols that represent the greatness of ancient Egyptian architecture and obelisk carvings that belong to the ruling period of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC). Its erection started in 1508 BC, and it was carved directly in the granite quarries of Aswan, but it cracked during construction and was never completed.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple was constructed during the reign of Ptolemy II (285–246 BC) and later completed by Roman emperors. This beautifully preserved monument was once threatened by the rising waters of the Nile, but UNESCO undertook a remarkable rescue operation, relocating the entire complex to Agilkia Island to ensure its preservation for future generations.

Day 4

Wonderful Tour to Abu Simbel Temples

Early morning, you will get your breakfast boxes before your private tour guide will escort you in a modern A/C vehicle to the southwest for about 3 hours to experience:

Abu Simbel Temples

The majestic Abu Simbel Templeis one of the must-see highlights in Egypt, built during Ramses II's reign (1279-1213 BC). It was completed around 1264 BC and consists of two twin temples, the largest one is dedicated to the king himself and his victory at the battle of Kadesh around 1247 BC, and the other little one, is dedicated to his wife, Queen Nefertari. What makes this temple distinctive is that it’s a solar phenomenon that occurs twice each year, on February 22nd and October 22nd, which is named "Abu Simbel Sun Festival"; the sun shines over the faces of the four main statues seated at the entrance of the temple, which are Ramses II himself, Amun, Ptah, and Ra-Horakhty.

Step Into Luxor East Bank

The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, known as the “Holy of Holies,” is an architectural masterpiece from the 18th Dynasty. Built around 1479 BC, it honors Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most powerful rulers of ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC).

Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Kings is a Royal gravesite located on the west bank of the Nile River that consists of 63 glorious tombs of the most renowned kings and rulers of Ancient Egypt who lived in the New Kingdom (1570 - 1050 BC) in the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties; each one of which has an endless number of precious treasures, relics, and jewelry. The Valley contains many great carvings and inscriptions that showcase the mythical and funerary practices of this majestic civilization during this time period.

Colossi of Memnon

The marvelous Colossi of Memnon are two colossal seated statues carved from quartzite sandstone quarried near Cairo around 1350 BC and transported to Luxor, and they are for glorifying the glorious King Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC). The colossi are 18 m (60 ft) tall and were rebuilt many times in history during the Greco-Roman period, which was famous for the epic vocal phenomenon.
